This short video shows the students particpating in the 1 Minute challange.
The students are paired up with someone, one of them being the person who rolls the dice and the other person collects the counters. The person who rolls the dice calls out the number they rolled and their partner collects that many counters. They have one minute to collect as many counters as they can. Then once the 1 minute is up the person who rolled the dice needs to count the counters collected. It's great fun and the students are trying really hard to beat the class record of 37 counters! It's a great game you can play at home to reinforce counting collections. You could even try counting the collections in different ways including counting by 2s, 5s or 10s.
